As the WarehouseTransportation Manager, you will ensure that compliance requirements and contractual obligations are met.

You will also serve as the primary customer contact on all new initiatives and high-level critical issues.

What you'll do on a typical day:


* Lead a team of Transportation Analyst that manage daily and weekly shipping schedules and delivery/shipping appointments for customers


* Ensure timely processing of customer deliveries to external service providers


* Investigate and determine the root cause of all service failures; implement corrective actions whenever necessary


* Develop training material around delivery release, scheduling, creation of shipping documents and labels according to customer specifications


* Communicate with carriers and customer service associates in case of shipping challenges


* Create Advanced Shipping Notice (ASN) notifications and shipment updates using the customer portal


* Maintain established levels of productivity and quality standards within a fast-paced environment


* Collaborate with both internal and external business partners to maintain on time shipping requirements


* Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you'll need:


* 4 years of transportation experience


* In-depth knowledge of the supply chain/logistics industry


* Availability to travel occasionally

It'd be great if you also have:


* Bachelor's degree


* Experience working in a Warehouse or Distribution Center managing shipments


* 6 years of direct management experience


* 4 years of SAP experience


* Experience with WMS and manifesting software as it relates to logistics applications


* Project management skills and experience


* Strong analytical and critical thinking skills


* Proven leadership and collaboration skills with experience effectively supervising, mentoring and influencing employees
