The 3Phase business as part of Data Center Systems LOB is facing a significant and sustainable growth.
The DCS team is expanding in India to meet the business growth demand and has established a state-of-the-art high power 3Phase R&D lab in Bangalore.
We are looking for a Electromechanical technical leader in our 3 Phase PDU team who is passionate to work on all stages of product life cycle and to manage technical team.
This role requires a strong technical leader who can effectively manage and lead a team while driving innovation and ensuring technical excellence products related to 3Phase UPS, PDU and Its Auxiliary
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Lead and oversee all mechanical design and sustaining activities within the R&D department.
* Provide technical leadership and guidance in the development and improvement of mechanical systems and components.
* Make critical decisions on design approaches, material selections, and engineering methodologies.
* Manage the mechanical engineering team, including people management, task assignment, performance management, and professional development.
* Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance design processes, quality, and efficiency.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
* Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence within the mechanical engineering team.
* Provide direct and ongoing leadership for a team of individual contributors designing and developing engineering solutions and coordinating projects for mechanical and thermal hardware, electronics enclosures, and production tooling for products.
* Manages headcount, deliverables, schedules, and costs for multiple ongoing projects, ensuring that resources are appropriately allocated and that goals, objectives, timelines, and budgets are met in accordance with program and organizational roadmaps.
Have accountability for results of major programs in terms of cost, direction and quality.
* Manages relationships with outsourced partners and suppliers, including setting expectations regarding deliverables, product quality, schedules, and costs; ensures that team members are effectively communicating and collaborating with outsourced resources.
* Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement and cost reductions opportunities.
* Provides people-care management for assigned team members, including hiring, setting and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching, and career development; ensures that proper knowledge and career development tools are in place to support ongoing team member and process development.
