As the Packaging Engineer you will be leading the graphics team.
This is a pivotal role which touches every product Kimberly-Clark Professional takes to market, working with your customers in category / platform management, you will be responsible for managing the packaging development for new and existing products.
In this role, you will:
* Facilitate packaging change projects to be delivered accurately and on time, proactively identifying potential issues and developing contingency plans.
* Provide visibility of project status, costs, priorities, forecasts and results to category teams and other leadership to drive alignment.
Act as the main contact for the external graphics production resource for any project management questions, prioritization of work, monthly invoice review and approval.
* Champion the development and execution of graphics initiatives consistent with approved Brand strategies and plans, including annual and multi-year forecasts as well as the review and approval process of packaging artwork through the operational process to drive speed to market with winning value propositions and products.
* Enable strong performance of the cross-functional team by facilitating open communication and efficient decision-making, through weekly meetings and ongoing leadership.
Provides direction on execution and collaborates with project owner/lead.
* Identify and implement cost saving initiatives related to packaging materials, labor, efficiency, transportation, and storage.
* Establish and maintain relationships with packaging suppliers to maintain an up-to-date knowledge of packaging and packaging equipment developments.
* Understand and communicate the impact and relevant detail of regional legislation.
* Be recognized as the process subject matter expert, trains cross-functional team members regarding overall graphics process and timing requirements to effectively plan and successfully execute projects/initiatives, as well as to sustain process consistency and best practices.
Technical Knowledge
* Ability to design various packaging structures, including corrugated, carton board, paper wrap, and film.
* Demonstrate the ability to conceptualize tests and experiments to generate relevant data for packaging solutions.
