Software Engineer
DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions.
Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices.
Execute the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Analyze requirements, incorporate architectural standards into application design specifications, document application specifications, and translate technical requirements into programmed application modules.
Develop and enhance software application modules.
Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues.
Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications.
Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows.
Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Engineering, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer, IT Consultant, or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: building a data warehouse and data pipelines using Python, Java, NodeJS, PySpark, SQL/PLSQL, Graph QL; data warehousing and data lake architectures, specifically with platforms such as Databricks, Oracle on Prime and Cloud, Spring, Spark, SQL; ETL, designing, developing and maintaining end to end data pipelines to automate the extraction, transformation and loading of data from diverse sources into target systems; workflow orchestration tools, including Autosys, JIL Programming, Control-M and AWS Glue; CI/CD systems, including Jenkins; automation and DevOps best practices; authentication protocols between platforms including public cloud, such as SSH, Token, SAML, and Kerberos; AWS designing, implementation and managing cloud infrastructure solutions; Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management; various data columnar and serialization formats, including JSON, XML, Parquet, and Avro; Unix/Linux based Operating Systems and Shell Scripting; developing supervised and unsupervised Machine Learning components (Various Regression and Classifications), Deep Learning (ANN/CNN/RNN) and AI Models; Unit Testing; User Acceptance Testing; and Functional Testing.

Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.
Full-Time.
Salary: $146,400 - $185,000 per year.
