Job Description:

Job Family Definition:

Directs, manages, leads, and coordinates integration and deployment of data center technical infrastructure according to architectural and design standards.

Also, deploys new infrastructure product/platforms for data center transformational strategies to support current and future business needs.

Areas of responsibility include technical execution design, creation of efficiency standards, predictable delivery methodologies and continuous improvement.

Establishes technical project/program execution objectives to meet current and future goals to deliver data center infrastructure capacity.

Understands, articulates, and optimizes process capabilities to drive operational considerations for architectural standards and simplification.

Ensures the design, development, delivery, and supportability of services/solutions for businesses are in accordance with business and IT objectives.

Management Level Definition:

Applies expert data center knowledge and experience to manage staff activities in solving most complex business and technical issues within established policies.

Manages activities of technical infrastructure architects and engineers to deliver data center technical infrastructure capacity that supports and scales to meet the needs of the business.

Has accountability for deploying capacity across multiple location(s) with significant business value.

Acts as a key advisor to senior management on the development of overall policies and long-term goals of the organization.

Plans, manages, and monitors deployment and execution activities for skilled network, compute and storage architects, engineers, and technicians.

Manages resources with a primary focus is on predictable, quality and timely deployment of data center technical infrastructure.

Recruits and supports development of direct staff members.

Position reports to the Director of Data Center and Hardware Strategy.

Additional Guidance/Criteria: Manages and controls activities within a sub-region or Region; Typically manages 10 or more direct reports.
