Reports too: Production Manager

General Description:

This position is responsible for MIG /TIG weld Aluminum and Steel various component items to specification.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

•Set-up welding machine according to production schedule.

•Maintain appropriate machine settings in accordance too work being performed to achieve proper weld and produce quality products.

•Weld and assemble parts according to samples and prints, if applicable.

•Conduct destructive weld tests.

•Inspect parts for proper dimensions.

•Complete proper documentation.

•Create samples and prototypes.

•Performs duties safely and efficiently.

•Maintain a clean 5S work environment.

•Communicate any problems with machinery or tooling to the manager.

•Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPIERENCE:

•Ability to set-up and operate a MIG / TIG welder.

•Verbal and written communication skills.

•Reading and basic math skills.

•Frequent standing and walking.

•Ability to lift or move typically 50 lbs.

•Other physical demands - stooping, kneeling, handling, etc.

•Ability to work overtime on short notice.

Qualifications:

•At least 1-3 years of MIG / TIG welding experience.

•Ability to read blueprints, tape measure, and calibrated measuring tools.
