Department Manager

Guardian Glass is looking for a Department Manager to join our team in Dewitt, IA!

This role will oversee a specific department within the organization, which could include the production line, warehouse, or another area.

The Department Manager is responsible for the overall management of their department, including strategic planning, budgeting, staffing, and ensuring that departmental goals align with the broader organizational objectives.

They may also be involved in cross-departmental coordination.

The selected individual will partner with the plant team to perform a variety of coordinated activities that will work to build on our production, quality, and safety goals.

What You Will Do


* Will be responsible for leading one or more departments within the DeWitt facility


* Provide leadership and direction to the safety of all employees and visitors to the facility


* Lead, coach and mentor a crew in meeting safety, quality and logistics goals


* Develop crew members for improving individual and organization performance


* Lead performance management and corrective action processes for assigned crew


* Improve plant performance through process improvements and lean methodologies


* Work with upstream and downstream people and processes to meet customer expectations


* Lead, track and improve performance on key goals and objectives

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)


* Experience leading a production, materials, or warehouse team in a manufacturing environment


* Experience measuring and improving processes to meet organization goals


* Experience in leading and managing direct reports including coaching/mentoring, performance feedback, and incentives

What Will Put You Ahead


* Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related fields


* Glass manufacturing experience
