IT Asset Manager
Description & Requirements
Maximus is seeking an accomplished IT Asset Manager to provide expertise in managing and optimizing assets for a federal client's critical operations.
As a key member of our team, the Asset Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient utilization and maintenance of assets to support our client's mission.
Project Specific Responsibilities:
* Lead the comprehensive management of assets throughout their lifecycle, from acquisition to disposal.
* Develop and implement asset management strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure optimal utilization and cost-effectiveness.
* Support, plan, and execute all technical refreshes.
* Assist with exit clearance procedures to ensure the return of all assigned property.
* Develop a process that will track all hardware/software licenses, warranties, end of life reporting, shipping, and receiving of equipment, etc.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess asset needs, procure assets, and manage inventory levels.
* Perform regular assessments of asset condition, performance, and compliance with relevant regulations.
* Coordinate maintenance, repairs, and upgrades of assets to prolong their useful life and enhance performance.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assets, including tracking changes, movements, disposals, and reconciliation of inventory records.
* Contribute to financial planning by providing insights into asset-related costs, depreciation, and forecasting.
* Generate detailed reports on asset utilization, bill of material, certification service request, virtual machine tracking, and financial impact for management review.
Project Minimum Requirements:
* Per contract requirements candidate must possess an Active Secret clearance.
* Due to agency and contract requirements, candidates must be U.S.
citizens with no dual citizenship.
* This contract supports systems that require 24x7x365 uptime.
Candidates must be willing and able to meet recall requirements, including participation in a rotational on-call schedule.
* Telework: Candidates must reside within a commutable distance and be available to work onsite at the customer's discretion.
This includes being on-site during the transition period.
Must be based around Annapolis Junction, MD.
* This position requires a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
* 7+ years of experience.
* Experience supporting IT Assets is required.
* Experience in some or all the following:
* Asset management tools
* MS Domain (DNS, DHCP, DFS, etc.)
* Microsoft Office Tools, such as Excel
