About the role:
This position is accountable for supervising maintenance resources in an assigned area in alignment with the Alcoa Massena maintenance strategy of providing a safe, efficient, and high-quality service to the customer.
Focus is on reducing maintenance costs, fast repair times when equipment has failed and continuous problem solving.
The key responsibilities are:
* Ensure all work is performed in a safe manner and that all work areas are maintained to meet or exceed all safety and environmental rules
* Supports Key Performance Indicators as defined by local leadership and Corporate Reliability Excellence initiatives
* Assists coordination of the planned and unplanned activities through active participation in the daily execution and department scheduling meetings.
* Monitor activities of bargaining unit employees and identify and provide opportunities to improve their skills and knowledge
* Identify and implement continuous improvement activities involving people, equipment, and processes
* Actively supervising and developing the maintenance team members to ensure effective communication across shifts, and with the operations teams
* Maintain close liaison with production, support groups, engineers, and other crew leaders
What you can bring to the role:
* A minimum of a technical associate degree or State certification stating journey person status in a mechanical or electrical trade and five years of work-related experience
* Strong organizational and communications skills
* Solid troubleshooting skills
* Experience using a CMMS
* Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office products

Base salary: $70,000 - $105,000 USD annually
