Hours may vary based on the needs of the department.
The scheduled shifts are primarily weekday shifts with some off shifts/weekends.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to:
* Provide clinical expertise and support to nursing staff primarily at University Hospital, our Level 1 Trauma Center, with a focus on ambulatory hematology, stem cell transplant and cellular therapy in the adult population.
+ Areas of outpatient support include the Hematology Clinics, Bone Marrow Transplant Clinics, Infusion Center, Apheresis and Chemotherapy Room.
* Implement customized evidence-based advanced nursing interventions, including the provision of direct care, to improve nurse-sensitive outcomes.
* Work in partnership with our inpatient and outpatient oncology CNS team.
* Act as a clinical expert for specific clinical populations; two years or more of inpatient hematology, bone marrow transplant, oncology or chemotherapy experience is strongly preferred as well as an understanding of ambulatory services.

Education
* Master's Degree or doctoral degree in Nursing Required
* Master's Degree or doctoral degree (DNP or PhD) with CNS role focus Preferred
Work Experience
* 2 years of relevant clinical nursing experience Required
* 3 years of relevant clinical nursing experience Preferred
* Previous experience as a clinical nurse specialist Preferred
* Experience in an academic medical center Preferred
Licenses and Certifications
* Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Wisconsin or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact Required
* Current CPR/BLS certification Required
* CNS certification Preferred
* Certification in specialty area of practice Preferred
