What you will do

The R&D Skin Health and Beauty Scientist will lead new product launches and life cycle management for Skin Health and Beauty products, with a focus on the Acne category.

This person will be expected to develop and demonstrate expertise in product and process development.

Working cross-functionally, they will be a key member working end-to-end to launch a product and maintain it through its life cycle.

Responsibilities and primary duties include formulation prototype development, product robustness and consumer evaluation, attending project meetings, and creation of supporting documentation.

Excellent interpersonal skills together with the ability to handle complexity are must-have prerequisites.

Key Responsibilities:

Discovery, evaluation, and implementation of new ingredient technologies and product forms with insight for technical and practical feasibility.

Own the development of new Acne products with mentorship from their manager.

Formulate products by incorporating consumer insights, Marketing and R&D feedback.

Perform all formulation tasks including batching, stability monitoring, and system entries.

Develop ability to predict potential project obstacles and develop risk mitigation plans.

Develop scale-up plans of lab formulations to commercial size.

Identify critical process parameters and develop process validation strategy.

Technical writing of specifications, development summary reports, and other documentation.

Interacting with and/or leading extended team to implement timely GMP batching, safety testing, claims testing and consumer testing when appropriate for new product introductions.

Ability to understand and translate trends in the product category.
