As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking Data Technology team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way.

As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.

Job responsibilities


* Working with our internal data product team to design and build reliable big data products.


* Develop software and BI (business intelligence) solutions using Java, SQL, and databases.


* Lead the design and build enterprise database warehouse solutions.


* Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems.


* Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.


* Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems.


* Leads evaluation sessions with internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture.


* Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies.


* Leading the support of our internal data consumers

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills


* Formal training or certification on software engineering

* concepts and 5+ years applied experience


* 5+ years of experience in application development using any one of these programming languages: Java, Python, Scala, experience working in financial industry is preferred.


* 5+ years of software development using enterprise database and data warehouse technology.

( Oracle, Postgres, Teradata, Snowflake)


* 3+ years of technical team leadership experience in an Agile environment


* 3+ years of ETL development experience


* 3+ years of development experience in a cloud environment focusing on data and BI.

(AWS S3, Redshift, Snowflake, Quicksight)


* Lead by influence, mentor junior software engineers, ability to navigate to different teams and business to find solutions to complex problems.


* Strong on critical thinking, great communication and team work skill is essential to this role.
