Crate, Skid & Packaging Specialist

We are seeking a full-time Crate, Skid, and Packaging Specialist to join our dynamic team, working 100% onsite at our Clackamas office.

This is an hourly, non-exempt position with working hours from Monday - Friday, 6 am - 2:30 pm.

Hourly pay range $21.00 - $25.00 (DOE).

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

Perform physical tasks in conjunction with building crates and shipping containers for finished product, and properly securing for transportation.

This specialized role is essential for meeting shipping deadlines, ensuring safe shipments, and providing great internal customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


* Build and secure wooden crates, shipping containers, and other packaging as needed


* Assist in the design and implementation of best practices and processes for shipping operations


* Work with team leaders to schedule and anticipate the shipping needs for production


* Prepare shipments according to shipping requirements.

Assemble and check orders, pack and crate, label.


* Complete and maintain required paperwork and inventory transactions, if needed


* Assist in loading and unloading trucks as needed


* Using Shipping Checklists or other documentation, ensure Customer orders are shipped complete and components are securely placed in packaging material


* Communicate with supervisors, leads, and other operations personnel about inventory, materials, and discrepancies.


* Work effectively as a team member contributing to a positive workplace


* Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (eye protection, ear protection and safety shoes)
