Administrative Services Analyst I/II

ABOUT THE POSITION
The County of Riverside's First 5 Riverside County Children & Families Commission seeks an Administrative Services Analyst I/II to join the Administration unit located in Riverside.

The selected candidate will be responsible for budgets, facilities management, equipment usage, contracts and grants.

Under general supervision, assists management by providing a wide variety of administrative support services; conducts complex and difficult research and analytical studies involving budgetary and/or operational processes and programs; makes recommendations for the development, implementation, and improvement of departmental operations, services and programs, and/or budgetary expenditures; and performs other related duties as required.

This position requires the incumbent to travel throughout the county to various off-site locations as needed.

The most competitive candidates will have experience in Microsoft products, including intermediate-level Excel functions; analyzing data; pulling data from various reports and maintaining SharePoint.

The level at which the position will be filled is at the Department's discretion and is based on candidate qualifications.

Administrative Services Analyst I is a natural progression underfill for the class of Administrative Services Analyst II.

Incumbents are eligible to promote to Administrative Services Analyst II after obtaining one year of experience as an Administrative Services Analyst I, receiving a satisfactory performance evaluation, and meeting the educational and/or experience requirements.

Failure to meet the requirements to promote at the end of the probationary period will result in incumbents being returned to their former County classification or new hires being probationary released.

First 5 Riverside County Children & Families Commission , is primarily funded by tobacco taxes generated by Proposition 10, which passed in November 1998 to help make sure that all our youngest Californians, from prenatal through 5 years old, get the best possible start in life.

First 5 Riverside County also receives state and federal funding to support community programs and initiatives to meet the goals and objectives of the Strategic Plan.

In partnership with the county's Department of Public Social Services, First 5 has oversight of Riverside County's Family Resource Centers, which serve as a hub for community services aimed at improving outcomes and quality of living for families in these communities, particularly in overburdened and disadvantaged families and children.
