Maintenance Mechanic - 2nd & 3rd shift
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
* Observe mechanical operations of equipment to detect deficiencies in operation.
* Inspect and test damaged machine parts.
* Work with supervisors, production and other disciplines to determine a course for repair and maintenance of equipment and facilities.
* Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance using documents provided. Including but not limited to lubrication, condition monitoring, and alignments.
* Troubleshoot and repair production equipment using established industry practices.
* Install, replace, or adjust machine components using manufacturer specifications and sound established mechanical practices.
* Safely rig equipment to disassemble and assemble equipment using chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoists.
* Follow written and verbal instructions provided for the repair and maintenance of equipment.
* Complete documentation associated with the repair, PM or predictive maintenance.

Expected Areas of Competence (i.e.
KSAs)
* Mechanical — Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
* Mathematics — knowledge of math required to troubleshoot, fabricate and repair.
* Prints — ability to read general mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic prints.
* English Language — Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
* Facility— Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in repairing and maintaining facilities and infrastructure.
* Equipment Maintenance — Performing routine maintenance including Preventive and Predictive maintenance.
* Operation Monitoring — Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
* Repairing — Repairing machines or systems using the needed tools.
* Troubleshooting — Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
* Equipment Selection — Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
* Complex Problem Solving — Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
Education/ Experience Requirements
* High school diploma required.
* Maintenance Mechanic journeyman card or equivalent industrial maintenance experience required.
* Previous maintenance mechanic experience in a foundry preferred.
* Experience in automatic molding and core-making machines a plus.
Travel Requirements
* Minimal, less than 5%.
Pay Rate
* $35.00 - $41.00 based on evals
* Pay increase of $1.00 after successful completion of probation
