Key Responsibilities

Uses professional judgment to adapt imaging procedures to ensure quality diagnostic outcomes.

· Selects the most appropriate and cost-effective action plan after reviewing all pertinent data and assessing the patient’s abilities and condition.

· Selects appropriate shielding devices and appropriate immobilization devices.

· Evaluates lab values prior to administering contrast media or radioactive isotopes.

· Performs venipuncture, IV patency and maintenance according to established guidelines.
