Mechanic - Fleet Maintenance - Baker (Chilco)
Idaho Forest Group is currently seeking a Fleet Maintenance Mechanic to join our Baker Truck Service team.
This position will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, troubleshooting and monitoring of all truck stock in a clean, safe and efficient manner.
You'll be a great fit if you can:
* Comprehend and perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations
* Comprehend and comply with Job Safety Analysis
* Service and maintain all trucks in accordance with DOT standards; ability to operate all types of trucks
* Repack cylinders and weld as needed
* Use the parts and service manuals for repairs needed; identify and order parts
* Learning troubleshooting techniques on new equipment
* Attend outside training courses (this is a must!)
* Repair and service hydraulic, air, brake, drive train and engines, fuel, electrical transmission, and cooling systems
* Continually work on preventative maintenance within the guidelines of the Dynastar Maintenance System
* Use schematics as needed
* Work closely with supervisors and truck drivers
* Use of MSDS when needed
* Keep shop and tools organized – cleanup during any down time
To be considered you will need:
* A High school diploma or equivalent
* One-year of mechanical training in vocational/technical school or equivalent work experience in heavy duty mechanic field
* One-year of heavy equipment repair experience and hydraulic components repair
* One-year of semi-truck and trailer repair
* A Valid driver’s license
* To possess mechanics tools; wrenches up to 2”; ¼, ½ and ¾ drive socket set up to 2”; electrical testing equipment and other small hand tools to perform tasks
* The ability to read schematics
* Certifications in welding
* The ability to adjust your work schedule, perform shift work, and work overtime as needed

* Basic computer skills desirable
