This position reports to Senior Commercial manager and is based at Cape Town, South Africa.

What you will do

The Sales Analyst is responsible for providing commercial support by ensuring accuracy and compliance of the Trade Promotional Management system in order to facilitate the decision making process of the Customer Development team to achieve company objectives.

This will be done by managing the end to end life cycle of trade promotions including budgeting, planning, payments / deductions, and post-promotional analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensures and maintains Promotional Events in the Trade Promotional Management System (TIPPS) for all approved agreements.

• Assist Customer Development team with event creation and ensure consistency in approach across business.

• Monitor and track accuracy of settlements of Promotional Events.

• Manage trade promotion budgets and ensure spending is within allocated limits.

• Analyze and evaluate promotional activities to determine effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.

• Support TIPPs monthly close process.

• Work closely with Commercial and Customer teams to support the delivery of the Customer business planning process

• Develop and conduct training on the effective use of data, applications, and tools to improve sales results.

• Supports internal and external audits and reviews

• Provide support to maintaining and updating SAP / TIPPs, in terms of masterdata & pricing as required.

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

• Experience in trade promotion management or related field

• 2 -4 years of related experience in sales analytics and reporting

• Relevant Degree or equivalent in Commerce, Analytics

• Solid understating of customer landscape across South Africa

• Good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across functions and teams

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with trade promotion management software
