Shift Supervisor - Logistics

Your Job
Our Savannah River Mill is looking for a Shift Supervisor within our Logistics department.

This role will work in a high energy and dynamic organization.

The Shift Supervisor will learn, apply, and teach the equipment theory of operation and the operational processes.

They will prioritize developing their team and upholding our culture.

This role will report directly to the Performance and Capability Leader (PCL).

A Shift Supervisor will work a rotating 12-hour shift that includes days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime hours.

The rotating schedule allows for a regular 14 days off every 4-week period.

Starting rate is $27 per hour with potential for an annual bonus based on individual performance and site's ability to meet performance, safety, quality, environmental and operational goals.

This role is also eligible for pay progression.

Our Team

Our Savannah River Mill in Rincon, GA began operations in October 1986 and is considered a world-class operation in the industry.

Five of the world's 12 largest tissue paper machines reside at the facility.

Our operation is designed to produce products primarily from recycled fiber.

We have over 50 converting lines that make the tissue, towel, and napkin products in our retail and away from home markets.

What You Will Do in Your Role


* Lead and mentor team members to apply Principled Based Management (PBM®) in ways that are consistent with our Guiding Principles and culture


* Lead team members toward excellence in Environmental, Health, and Safety and Compliance by identifying and resolving hazards with critical and high risks


* Responsible for product system metrics impacted by the performance and capability of the people


* Aligns asset strategies in the product system/department and ensures that everyone has the capability to execute the asset strategy


* Collaborate with performance and capability leader, manufacturing engineers, training and development leader, and other resources to build capabilities of Technicians/Operators/Allocators


* Ensure all team members have individual development plans that are aligned with the mill goals


* Utilize the PSQ process consistent with the mill standards


* Accountable for the labor cost, overtime, and staffing of their team


* Identify and use measures; leading and lagging, that indicate how well the operating technicians are performing
