Maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of production equipment, process pumps, etc.
Should also have good general skills including lubrication, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, machining, piping, sheet metal, etc.
Must be willing to work flexible hours.
Candidates should also have a strong work ethic, possess a safe work history and function effectively in a self-directed team environment.
In this role, you will:
* Ability to perform routine service, setup, adjustment and repairs of paper manufacturing and converting equipment (e.g.
pumps, gear reducers, high speed winders, orbital saws, wrappers, packaging and conveying equipment)
* Perform Predictive & Preventative tasks associated on heavy industrial manufacturing equipment
* Identify and correct defects in equipment during preventative maintenance inspections
* Installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of typical ball & roller bearings
* Perform horizontal laser equipment alignment tasks
* Perform basic pipe fitting and welding
* Proficient in rigging/lifting fundamentals required for large equipment replacements
* Proficient at using hand tools, portable electric tools & maintenance shop equipment
* Basic machinist tasks (e.g.
cut and broach keyways on drive line components, minor parts modifications, etc.)
* Precision measurements of bearing fits and mounting tolerances.
* Work within an operations driven team environment to resolve issues and improve performance
