Job Description

Work with a team of data scientists and machine learning engineers to develop and deploy GenAI applications supporting Walmart's finance department.

Build state-of-art LLM models by training with massive amount of Walmart data utilizing open-source or in-house tools.

Primary Location: 10790 Parkridge Dr.

Suite 200, Reston, VA 20191

We use a hybrid way of working that is primarily in the office coupled with virtual when not onsite.

Our campuses serve as a hub to enhance collaboration, bring us together for purpose and deliver on business needs.

What you'll do:



* Collaborate closely with business teams to identify opportunities and translate requirements into innovative technical solutions.


* Lead the design and development of generative AI solutions, utilizing established techniques and creating custom algorithms when necessary.


* Work closely with engineers and platform architects to integrate and deploy robust ML applications and systems.


* Stay at the forefront of data science and machine learning advancements by continuously exploring and evaluating new technologies and methodologies.


* Conduct advanced analyses to provide recommendations on the applicability and efficiency of product features.

What you'll bring:



* Strong knowledge of retail and one or more business practices across domains such as product, finance, marketing, technology, and business systems.


* Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.


* Experience with large dataset mining tools and open-source programming tools (e.g., R, Python).


* Expertise in solving optimization problems using integer programming.


* Ability to deconstruct abstract problems, formulate hypotheses, and conduct detailed analyses.


* Experience navigating ambiguity and building rapid business cases/prototypes.


* Hands-on experience with analytics and reporting tools such as Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery), Microsoft Power BI, and Microsoft Excel.

Compensation and Benefits:



* The annual salary range for this position is $90,000 - $180,000


* Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
