FAMILY BASED MENTAL HEALTH THERAPIST
$4000 Sign on Bonus for Bachelors level
$6000 Sign on Bonus for Master Level
QUALIFICATIONS:
* MH Professional: A graduate degree in psychiatry, psychology, social work, nursing, education, rehabilitation, counseling, or graduate degree in the field of human services plus 2 years’ experience working in the CASSP system.
or
* MH Therapist: A bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, rehabilitation, education, pre-med, theology, anthropology, counseling or a degree in the field of human services plus 1 year experience working in the CASSP system.
and
* Must be at least 18 years or older.
* Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
* Must have clearances or ability to obtain necessary clearances.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate under the Structural Family Therapy Model
*
+ Provide treatment 3-5 times per week within the home and community settings based upon the family’s needs
+ Sessions vary and may include family sessions, consumer sessions, sibling, or co-parenting sessions
+ Perform case management duties as guided by the treatment plan and the supervisor
+ Assess child and family risks and development
+ Maintain a strength based approach and identify strengths of the identified client and family that promote positive change within the family unit
+ Goal is to divert inpatient hospitalization, RTF, OCY placement, and any other placement outside the home
+ Collaborate with other child serving systems such as, but not limited to, education, office of children and youth, juvenile probation, mental health programming, and medical offices, etc.
* Complete documentation including, but not limited to, progress notes, treatment plans, 30 day reviews, ChildLine reports, etc.
+ Write treatment plans, incorporating mental health and case management needs for the identified client and family
o Initial treatment plan must be completed within 5 days of starting service
o Comprehensive treatment plan must be completed within 30 days of starting service
+ Completion of 30 day reviews on treatment plans and update treatment plans as necessary or directed by supervisor
+ Progress notes must be completed for the week by Sunday at 11:30 PM
+ ChildLine reports are to be made within 24 hours of disclosure
* Attend WPIC Family Based training for FBMH Therapists and complete the graduation criteria for the program
+ Continue to attend WPIC Family Based training for FBMH Graduates once completed graduation criteria
* Provide at least one weekend session per team per month
* Take part in the FBMH On-Call Rotation
* Maintain client records in a complete and timely manner.
