The Technical Sales Representative draws on practical knowledge of steam and hot water utilities to provide customers with the best solution available for the application.

Summary/Objective:

Maintain a customer base of key accounts that generate recurring sales to achieve the annual sales plan for the territory.

Essential Functions:


* Build relationships with design engineers, mechanical contractors and end users.


* Majority of time meeting directly on-site with customers.


* Developing opportunities by identifying solutions to solve customer needs.


* Promoting solutions of key manufacturers that we represent.


* Maintaining customer relationship management (CRM) data including daily activities.

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS:


* Associate degree or equivalent from two year college or technical school and / or three years of sales experience in mechanical field.


* Experience with steam and hot water systems.


* Ambitious ‘hunter' sales personality.


* Mechanical aptitude and / or practical knowledge of pipe, valves and fittings.


* Computer skills including Microsoft Office.


* Able to work both independently and in a team environment.
