HR Business Partner - Diboll

Your Job

We are seeking Human Resources Business Partner to assist with HR related activities supporting multiple manufacturing sites in the Lufkin, Texas area.

This role will initially be based out the Diboll, TX Lumber facility but will assist as needed at other GP Building Products locations in Camden, Pineland and Corrigan, Texas.

In this role the HR Leader will have an opportunity to advance continuous improvement of HR processes, help build our overall talent position, and lead HR related projects at these facilities.

This role will report directly to the Lumber Division HR Director and is expected to transition to a permanent Human Resources Business Partner - Manager role at one of these facilities in the next two years.

Our Team

Pineland Lumber is the largest Sawmill in the South employing just over 320 non-union hourly and salaried employees.

The site is situated approximately 45 miles east of Lufkin, Texas between Sam Rayburn Lake and Toledo Bend Reservoir.

This position will require that you live within commuting distance of the Pineland, Texas Georgia-Pacific location.

We are offering relocation support.

What You Will Do



* Quickly build effective working relationships and partner with HR and Operation Leaders to help them implement labor strategies for their respective locations.


* Understand key business drivers/priorities to formulate and execute appropriate solutions.


* Build leader capability and reinforce accountability in the areas of talent, leadership, and culture.


* Utilize strong business knowledge combined with strong analytical, project management, communication and change management skills at our facilities.


* Partner with leaders to grow the sites knowledge and application of Principle Based Management and our HR Standards


* Provide data-driven insights for decision making and strategic workforce planning; recommend revision or creation of new strategies.


* Assist sites with employee sensing such as stay interviews and onboarding programs


* Become the SME for Time and Attendance and training champion for frontline leaders


* Must be flexible to flow to work as needed between the six wood product locations in the Lufkin area

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)


* 3+ years of demonstrated HR experience I (Talent mobility, selection, performance management, employee relations, talent planning, etc.)


* Experience partnering with leadership to drive initiatives and priorities


* Experience developing and partnering with front line supervisors

What Will Put You Ahead



* HR experience in a manufacturing environment


* Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Resources Management or related field


* Experience developing and aligning initiatives to accelerate achievement of strategic business objectives


* Experience with data analytics to execute on opportunities


* Bilingual Spanish
