IT Security Analyst II
Overview
As an IT Security Analyst II, you will be responsible for safeguarding our information systems against cyber threats.
You will monitor our networks, identify vulnerabilities, and respond to incidents with precision and efficiency.
Responsibilities
* Monitor security access and perform security assessments to identify potential risks.
* Develop and implement security measures and controls.
* Perform regular audits to ensure security practices are compliant.
* Investigate security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents.
* Install security measures and operate software to protect systems and information infrastructure.
* Document security breaches and assess the damage they cause.
* Work with the security team to perform tests and uncover network vulnerabilities.
* Fix detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard.
* Stay current on IT security trends and news.
* Develop company-wide best practices for IT security.
* Perform penetration testing.
* Help colleagues install security software and understand information security management.
* Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management.
* Stay up-to-date on information technology trends and security standards.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a computer Science related field.
An associate degree with foundational cyber security certifications such as CompTIA CySA+ will be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
* 2+ years’ work experience as a Cyber Security Analyst or similar role.
* Knowledge of various information security frameworks.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Ability to educate a non-technical audience about various security measures.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
* Self-motivated and eager to learn new security skills, tactics and solutions.
Preferred Skills:
* Certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
* Experience administering endpoint detection and response (ERD) tools.
* Experience administering email security gateways.
* Experience administering network firewalls.
* Experience with computer network penetration testing and techniques.
