Senior Grant Analyst (budget %26 Management Services)

Job Summary

Assist Bureaus/Departments in preparing budgets and financial analyses.

Prepare financial reports, spreadsheets, budget analyses, and projections.

Interact with staff, grantors, and municipal partners regarding various grant initiatives, budgets, and reimbursement processes.

Answer questions related to grants and funding and address non-standard issues.

Prepare and administer assigned grants, establish grants in financial information system, and monitor and report on revenue and expenditure activity.

Conduct data analysis and research on specific budget issues.

Perform various analyses to support financial recommendations on variances.

Prepare grant documents and agreements.

Prepare grant status reports and grant amendments.

Develop and review presentation materials for leaders.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree and
• Four (4) years of finance, general accounting, developing budgets, or directly related experience or
• An equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

*Degrees awarded outside of the United States with the exception of those awarded in one of the United States territories and Canada, must be credentialed by the World Education Services (WES), Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE) or a National Association of Credential Evaluation (NACES) member organization.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS

Knowledge of Federal and State regulation, private grant programs, grant management, monitoring, and evaluations.

Knowledge of financial accounting, budget and cost analysis, and forecasting principles.

Skill in building relationships and the ability to work well with others when dealing with Federal and State agencies, County departments, municipal partners, and/or vendors.

Ability to interpret, explain, and apply applicable laws, codes, and regulations as they relate to grant funding and ability to manage complex accounts with multiple finding sources.

Ability to work independently and provide guidance to staff addressing analytical and technical challenges.

Skill in executing advanced data collection, synthesis, analysis, reporting, and development of recommendations to support functional area(s), where analysis is based on diverse or non-standard problems.

Ability to work independently and collaborate with team members, mid-level leadership, and potentially senior leaders to drive accuracy and precision in analysis.

Knowledge of diverse analytical practices to independently perform moderate to complex studies and continually adopt new methods.
