Transportation Procurement Analyst

KBX Logistics is searching for a Procurement Analyst to join the KBX Procurement team to support Less Than Truckload (LTL) carrier rating, contracting, and capacity support.

The core responsibilities of the role will include analyzing data to determine opportunities to better service our businesses and providing service and pricing support to the KBX Logistics Managed Freight team.

The successful candidate will assure compliance with all laws and regulations, have transportation industry and LTL knowledge, be analytical, and have a high degree of organization and time management skills.

Our Team

The Procurement Team is responsible to deliver cost effective and service focused capacity plans for our customers.

As part of the team, the Procurement Analyst acts as the essential connection point for KBX between the managed freight teams and carriers.

The team must balance the needs of both KBX and carriers to work in a mutually beneficial way to drive results for the company and key constituents to create the greatest long-term value.

What You Will Do



* Develop and lead LTL rate, capacity, and pricing initiatives in support of KBX Logistics Managed Freight team and their customers' needs


* Cultivate relationships with carriers who are positioned to provide quality service KBX Logistics' broad range of customers


* Serve as liaison with the carrier on pricing, contract, invoicing challenges, and new lanes


* Support the onboarding and approval process for new carriers


* Execute accurate contracts to include rate and rules appendixes applicable for the business


* Ensure all LTL carriers have current pricing and contract documents and hold them accountable for the terms of their agreements


* Provide strategic analysis of carrier rates, freight costs, and negotiation opportunities to business partners


* Drive innovation and LTL system enhancements


* Perform LTL RFP's

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)



* Experience working with Less Than Truckload (LTL) in procurement or logistics which includes transportation pricing, contracts, tariffs and bid work


* Experience using Excel for analytical purposes

What Will Put You Ahead



* Experience working in a cross-functional organization and collaborating across teams


* Experience conducting analysis on large data sets and presenting findings to stakeholders


* Transportation experience in other modes such as standard van, intermodal, expedited and specialized


* Experience using PowerBI
