Georgia-Pacific is now hiring Maintenance Technicians to join our Corrugated facility in Albany, GA!

This position is eligible for relocation incentives.

Salary:


* Starting at $31.38 -$33.55(Based on Experience)


* You will have the ability to increase your compensation based on skills and contribution to the overall performance of the plant.


* 2nd Shift Differential - $1.00 per hour


* 3rd Shift Differential - $1.25 per hour

Shift:


* Only candidates who are flexible and available to work any shift will be considered.

This will include overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed.

Shift Hours:


* 1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM


* 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM


* 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Starts Sunday night)

What You Will Do


* Completing mechanical and electrical preventive maintenance activities to identify and correct mechanical defects before they fail.


* Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical problems, repairing and maintaining all equipment in accordance with plant policies and procedures.


* Installing and repairing mechanical drives, chains, sprockets, gears, belts, and couplings.


* Reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical schematics.


* Adhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.


* Helping to meet or exceed production, waste and quality goals through a quality maintenance program


* Maintaining strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment.


* Working in a loud/noisy, hot, humid, dusty, greasy and high volume environment.


* Performing tasks such as lifting, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and/or pulling.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)


* Two (2) years or more of rotary machinery industrial maintenance experience.


* Experience troubleshooting bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes, conveyors and electrical/mechanical equipment.


* Experience reading technical drawings and schematics.

What Will Put You Ahead


* Experience working in the corrugated packaging industry


* Experience programming PLCs


* Experience with a manual lathe and milling machine


* Experience working with 240/480-volt 3 Phase motors


* Experience with MIG, TIG, Arc welding
