Job Summary

Established support individual contributor that executes tasks that are typically routine, with some deviation from standard practice.

Provides support for internal teams in the Manufacturing Assembly area.

Follows administrative processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality of deliverables.

Maintains high standards of professionalism, efficiency, personal communication, discretion, and independent judgment.

Safely and efficiently executes daily tasks related to extrusion manufacturing of synthetic absorbable and non-absorbable multifilament products.

Typical tasks include start-up, operation, and shut-down of extrusion and orientation processes, thread-up and doffing of production spools, testing of products, and troubleshooting of processes.

Duties & responsibilities

In accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:


* Completes tasks for the support function of the Manufacturing Assembly area and follows administrative processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality of deliverables.


* Adheres to best practices for set up, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of machinery/equipment to foster a safe working environment.


* Helps monitor and install components of multiple in-process products, assemblies, or sub-assemblies on the assembly line.


* Builds competency with new and routine machinery.


* Supports tracking of the quality of outputs to identify, discard, or re-manufacture faulty products.


* Demonstrates Johnson & Johnson's Leadership Imperatives and Credo.


* Executes and monitors manufacturing processes according to operational procedures.

Establishes priorities based on production schedule.


* Participates in cleaning equipment and clean rooms as necessary.


* Takes readings of equipment and systems.


* Verifies and interprets parameters to ensure compliance.


* Takes samples and performs tests during process according to standard procedures.

Participates in projects focused on process development and/or improvement, cost controls and new product manufacturing.


* Performs equipment maintenance, conditioning, standardization and calibration as needed.
