Quality Specialist

Your Job

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Quality Specialist to join our team.

In this role, you will facilitate the management of various claims, collaborate with stakeholders, and ensure timely resolution of issues.

Additionally, you will assist in the development and maintenance of key documentation, perform data analysis to drive quality improvements, and manage centralized digital platforms for efficient access to critical business and operational documents.

Your proactive approach will help us achieve performance targets and enhance overall operational efficiency.

Location: We are ideally looking for candidates based near Atlanta, GA.

At Georgia-Pacific Containerboard, we produce paperboard products that serve a wide variety of markets - from consumer goods, eCommerce, industrial, and many more.

Our mills and shipping ports are strategically located to serve customers worldwide.

The quality specialist will report to the CX Quality Manager and will work directly with the operations quality team.

They will also work closely with other capability groups including supply chain, customer account managers, product stewardship and other capability groups that specialize in manufacturing, shipping, logistics, warehousing, etc.

What You Will Do


* Facilitate the management of various claims, including trade, warehouse, and transit claims, ensuring timely resolution


* Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to file claims and follow up on issues, ensuring accountability and resolution


* Assist in the development and maintenance of documentation such as specification sheets, technical documents, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and quality system documents


* Perform data extraction and analysis to support quality improvement initiatives and decision-making processes


* Manage and maintain centralized digital platforms, ensuring easy access to business, operational, and customer-related documents


* Act as the primary administrator for claims, overseeing the entire process from filing to resolution


* Develop and manage dashboards for performance monitoring, overseeing user and partner profiles to enhance operational efficiency


* Work proactively to meet performance targets, focusing on reducing the time required to close claims


* Coordinate with various departments to ensure claims are filed appropriately and resolved efficiently


* Monitor and report on claim statuses, working to expedite resolutions and maintain accountability for service providers

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)


* Experience in a supply chain, logistics, or manufacturing role


* Microsoft Office experience including Excel (create and modify spreadsheets using formulas, pivot tables, and ability to manipulate data)


* Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams


* Ability to travel domestically to mills and plants (up to 10%)
