JOB SUMMARY

Ensure the internal shell of molds is free of any particles that may cause a defect in the casting.

Inspect molds for integrity, defects and damage.

Repair any defect visible.

Wrap and insulate molds to help improve the integrity of the casting.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES


* Remove shell and recover hardware from the mold.


* Push mold on cart into boiler clave operation.


* Load into firing oven keeping temperatures under 300 degrees.


* Inspect Mold, including boroscope, looking for cracks and defects in internal and external structure.


* Clean Mold using air pressure and water wash.


* Repair Mold as necessary as instructed by Engineering.


* Load Mold into preheat kilns/operation of preheat kilns by manipulator.


* Load Mold into casting furnace per instructions.


* Cut shape of baffle using CNC routing table.


* Change baffle as required.


* Perform routine maintenance on above equipment.


* Enter data into software databases using Word, Excel, Oracle and written logs (quality records).


* Clean area and equipment.


* Perform 6S Responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS


* Education: High School Diploma or GED


* Experience: Manufacturing Experience Desired.


* Certifications/Licenses: N/A


* Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Read.

Write legibly.

Basic computer skills.

Forklift operation.

Knowledge of equipment.

Good verbal communication skills.

Good interpersonal skills.

Safety conscious.

Sense of urgency.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT


* Working Environment: Shop Floor.


* Required PPE: PPE varies throughout the plant, check to ensure proper PPE is being used.


* Safety Glasses: Needed in all areas of the plant.


* Steel toe shoes: Needed in all areas of the plant.
