In your End-to-End Material Optimization Consultant role, you’ll help us deliver better care for billions of people around the world.

 The incumbent will provide technical expertise and leadership for end-to-end raw material optimization for the Personal Care Material Value Stream to achieve total cost of ownership targets.

This position will assess the highest opportunity areas for assigned materials and business processes and work with the manufacturing sites, suppliers, R&D and procurement to address areas of inefficiencies and waste.

This role has accountability for supporting the delivery of the annual material total cost of ownership (TCO) targets and reducing material waste across Personal Care.  Responsibilities include deployment of Value Stream approaches to multiple materials, problem solving End-to-End to improve material efficiencies and leveraging our suppliers as a competitive advantage to reduce TCO.

Your Key Responsibilities include:

Material Waste Reduction Strategies:


* Identifies and leads Material Waste opportunities and sector processes specific to supporting the Fuel-to-Grow Manufacturing Workstream targets across Personal Care.  Owns the Material Waste sector management systems.


* Develop material waste reduction strategies based on lean principles.


* Implement solutions to minimize waste and enhance efficiency.

Material Continuous Improvement:


* Responsible for providing staff materials value stream support for a variety of material categories including addressing safety, quality and cost of materials within the category.


* Connects closely with the R&D, Procurement, Quality and Manufacturing teams to drive the characterization of the raw materials impact on process.

Use established processes to fully document knowledge for upstream development activity.

Value Stream Mapping and Analysis:


* Defines and maps the current state of the value stream from end to end using facts and data and sets strategy for improvements identifying inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and waste.


* Envisions the future state of the value stream using Lean tools to eliminate waste and improve process stability and material flow.  Links this future state to platform strategy deployment.


* Identify areas for improvement, such as excess inventory, transportation delays, or overproduction.
