This role has been designed as 'Hybrid' with an expectation that you will work on average 2-3 days per week from an HPE office.

Job Description:

Essential Job Functions and Duties:



* Configuration and software maintenance of servers, switches, GPUs, and storage.


* Image and upgrade servers with Linux OS and update firmware.


* Set up multiple root partitions and install a variety of OS versions on the partitions.


* Update DNS entries and configure systems to run on the HPE network per our network security protocols at HPE.


* Familiar with VMware vSphere and setting up and maintaining virtual servers.


* Familiar with High-Performance Cluster Manager (HPCM) software and able to install and maintain a cluster using that software.


* Familiar with Lustre File systems and supporting software installs and upgrades.


* Familiar with Workload Managers; SLURM and PBS.


* Basic knowledge of shell & Perl scripting, Ansible, and Docker.

Additional knowledge of containers (Kubernetes, Podman, Docker) is a plus.


* Maintain a clean and safe lab environment.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or Business field required.

Candidate will collaborate with a team of system administrators and will have a senior system administrator at the same job site to be their mentor.
