The Staff Fixed Equipment Engineer is responsible for proactive fixed equipment and piping engineering and reliability support.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


* Assist static equipment design, material selection, reliability, and construction quality assurance.


* Evaluate piping and equipment repair methods.


* Provide engineering support to Operations, to include engineering repair solutions.


* Support and advise on key static equipment and mechanical integrity considerations.

This may include but is not limited to:
+ Fitness-For-Service assessments
+ Vibration and noise analysis
+ Piping stress and flexibility
+ Thermal expansion
+ Fired heater design
+ Heat exchanger design
+ Valve and Gasket selection
+ Metallurgical analysis
+ Boiler design and operation


* Make advancements or develop needed calculation tools, processes, procedures or standards, to improve project design, material selection, quality assurance, and reliability.


* Provide input during new construction design model reviews.


* Review construction stress calculations and design for complex designs and critical equipment.


* Conduct field walkdowns for critical areas during new construction.


* Stay current with regulations, industry standards, engineering, inspection and repair methods, and applicable technologies and propose program improvements as appropriate.


* Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for certain processes, procedures, and Company standards associated with Fixed Equipment.


* Assist inspectors planning mechanical integrity assurance programs and preventative maintenance programs for OSHA, PSM, EPA, SPCC and DOT covered assets.


* Perform Level 1 and 2 Engineering Fitness for Service assessments.


* Mentor less experienced engineers in the Facility Mechanical Integrity department
