Maintenance Supervisor- 2nd Shift
The Maintenance Supervisor will provide leadership and direction to both the operations and utility maintenance teams, ensuring the seamless day-to-day operation of our production and utility systems.
Hours: Monday-Friday, starting time at 12:30 PM.
This position requires effective communication with co-workers and working during non-standard hours, including nights, weekends, and potential overtime.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the Corrective, Preventive, and Predictive maintenance of plant process equipment and utility support systems.
* Oversee the maintenance of the facility, including grounds, waste systems, warehouse, and roof systems.
* Lead by example in the areas of Safety, Quality, and Reliability/Continuous Improvement.
* Collaborate cross functionally to ensure optimal performance, safety and reliability of all systems.
* Manage direct report performance; reviews, corrective actions, and coaching.
Position Requirements:
* Work effectively in a team environment.
* Mechanical aptitude and the ability to develop detailed written methods.
* create specific work directions and adjust them as necessary to complete tasks.
Leadership and Management Skills Required for the role:
* Proven Leadership Experience: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
* Team Building: Skilled in fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
* Decision-Making: Strong decision-making abilities, especially in stressful situations.
* Conflict Resolution: Proficiency in resolving conflicts and addressing team concerns promptly and effectively.
Required Education/Experience:
* High School Diploma or GED, and 2+ years in a leadership position with increasing responsibility required
* Problem analysis and problem-solving skills required
* Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
* Experience with ammonia refrigeration, boilers, building structure, and waste treatment
* B.S.
degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred
Physical Requirements:
* Must perform various physical activities like bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, stooping, and lifting during maintenance work.
* Regularly required to walk, stand, use hands for handling objects, tools or controls, reach above shoulder height, climb, and balance.
* Occasionally must sit or work in close quarters.
* Ability to wear a respirator, if necessary.
* May need to wear personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, respirator or dust mask, protective footwear, and clothing.
Work may occur in cold or hot, dusty environments.
