Community Resource Specialist

Description & Requirements

Maximus is hiring for a Community Resource Specialist responsible for fostering collaborative relationships with community partner organizations and providing comprehensive support to fathers in the community.

This position involves recruiting fathers through outreach, networking, and relationship-building efforts.

The specialist will offer wrap-around support to help fathers overcome employment barriers, such as addressing legal matters, expunging criminal records, and assisting with court orders.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a deep understanding of community resources, and a passion for helping individuals improve their lives.

Maximus is currently seeking to fill three positions: one in Allen County, one in St.

Joseph County, and one in Wayne County.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Cultivate and nurture professional relationships with customers, continuously monitoring their engagement and progress within the program.

- Regularly collaborate with customers to set and accomplish program goals, ensuring ongoing eligibility and program service maintenance.

- Demonstrate extensive program knowledge, guiding customers through various stages of the application process, from enrollment to benefit and service allocation.

- Assist customers in accessing essential services aligned with program objectives, including educational or vocational training, medical care, childcare, transportation, mental health resources, legal assistance, and other pertinent needs.
