Summary of Position:

The Sr.

Procurement Manager is responsible for taking a hands-on approach in managing all procurement activities, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services.

This role involves strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, tactical purchasing, and cross-functional collaboration to support production schedules and operational goals.

Essential Functions:


* Procurement Strategy:
+ Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the company’s goals and objectives.
+ Analyze market trends and conduct cost analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings.
+ Collaborate with R&D and production teams to understand material specifications and sourcing needs.


* Supplier Management:
+ Identify, develop, and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliability and performance to meet R&D, production, and laboratory products catalogue business needs.
+ Conduct supplier audits and performance reviews to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
+ Take a proactive role in resolving supplier issues, ensuring consistent supply to production.


* Contract Negotiation:
+ Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, delivery, and stocking agreements to meet production and inventory schedules.
+ Ensure contracts comply with legal requirements and company policies.
+ Monitor and manage contract renewals and terminations.


* Cost and Inventory Control:
+ Implement cost-saving initiatives and track procurement performance; execute an annual cost savings program to meet company KPIs.
+ Work with supply chain departments to monitor inventory levels to ensure the availability of critical materials while utilizing supplier stocking and fulfillment strategies to maximize inventory turnover and reduce excess stock and stock outs.
