Payroll Specialist

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Specialist is the liaison between the Quality Assurance Group, Field Support and payroll law.

A Payroll Specialist's responsibility is to perform customer service and payroll functions for internal employees.

Payroll Specialists review payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance with payroll policies and procedures.

Responsibilities


* Enter new hires, rehires, promotions and terminations into Peoplesoft for processing


* Review edit reports from Peoplesoft (wage, tax, & general data)


* Resolve discrepancies on employee's wages and taxes.


* First resource for clarifying payroll tax questions.


* Run On/Off cycle payroll process.


* Research & resolve bank related issues.


* Process requests for off cycle checks.


* Process stop payments and voids


* Validate outstanding checks for abandoned property

Qualifications


* 2+ years Payroll Experience preferred but not required


* Strong organizational skills


* Strong problem solving capabilities


* Strong written and verbal communication skills


* Adaptable and able to handle multiple tasks concurrently


* Computer skills: PeopleSoft, Word, Excel, Strong organizational skills


* Strong Written and Verbal communication skills
