Industrial Appraiser
Capitol Appraisal Group - Remote
 

Provide Capitol’s clients with mass appraisal services with defendable values and appraisals while maintaining relationships with appraisal district staff.

Responsible for establishing appraisal roll records for industrial properties or other types of properties as needed.

Represent Capitol Appraisal at appropriate business and legal functions.

May assist in the creation of mass appraisal tables and schedules.

Duties:


* Attend on site inspections of complex properties taking field notes and photographs as appropriate.


* Appraise assigned complex properties using appropriate available information.


* Meet and interact with owners, agents, attorneys, appraisal district staff, attorneys and other professionals in valuation of complex properties


* May assist in creation of complex valuation models.


* Make informed value recommendations to clients.


* Assist appraisal staff as necessary.


* Consult with appraisers and staff on complex property issues and valuations.

Requirements:


* Extensive travel required.

 Seventy to eighty percent during January through September,


* Employee must be self starter and able to manage time on task.  Extensive workload increases are realized February through September and meeting deadlines is imperative. 


* Employee must be able to problem solve and coordinate work effort with other affiliated staff.  During the periods of increased work employee may be asked to oversee the efforts of additional staff that is brought in to assist with meeting deadlines.

Skills/Qualifications:


* Understanding of complex properties and valuation techniques.


* Experience in dealing with clients and other professional personnel


* Knowledgeable in appraisal techniques and ability to learn proprietary software


* Math, English, Excel, Word proficient


* Presentation of complex issues to a group
