Specialist Technician - CNC Programmer

As part of DePuy Synthes Network Edge strategy we are increasing global Manufacturing capacity within the DPS Orthopaedic franchise.

As part of that initiative, we are now recruiting for a CNC Programmer to execute capacity expansion projects.

The CNC Machinist will be responsible for developing and programming CNC process for complex medical device geometry in the most effective and efficient way from design drawings.

Key Responsibilities:


* Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, turning, milling etc.


* Programming experience using G-Codes and M-Codes


* Ability to review program results and problem solve solutions to fine tune results.


* Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.


* Computer savvy with basic understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAM


* Understanding of differences and impacts of tool variations and ability to develop a process tooling pack.

Qualifications

Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma required

Required:

• Minimum four (4) years of relevant professional work experience

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills & demonstrated ability to operate as part of a team.

• An interest in and aptitude in the areas of Mechanical, Electrical and Software engineering.

• The ability to work well individually and remotely

• The ability to adapt to change and develop skills to meet these changes.

• Mechanical aptitude and good math skills

• A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach

Preferred:

• Knowledge of controllers: FANUC, SIEMENS and Mitsubishi.

• Understanding of GD&T.

• Experience in one off/ prototyping environment.

Other:


* This role may require temporary relocation to the US or Ireland for up to 1 year


* May require up to 50% domestic and/or international travel to other locations and sites


* Advanced ability to read, write and speak English required
