Sr Accountant

Primary Responsibility :
Seeking a highly motivated self-starter who has the ability to lead key accounting and financial processes both independently and as part of a team.

This role is intended for a driven individual who is eager to learn and grow into a management position in the near future.

What You'll Do :
• Lead various accounting processes from end-to-end
• Serve as the primary liaison between corporate headquarters and geographically-distributed field accountants for a portfolio of sites
• Collaborate with cross-functional groups, including development of budgets and forecasts
• Manipulate and format large amounts of data to perform variance analyses
• Problem solve and analyze financial data related to assigned areas and accounts.
• Conduct thorough reviews and reconciliations of monthly balance sheet accounts
• Execute key internal controls and work with external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audit
• Prepare and review monthly journal entries
• Manage special projects as needed, including technical accounting research and integration of newly acquired facilities
• Other duties as requested

What Experience and Education You Need :
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required, Master's degree preferred, plus 2-4 years of related experience
• CPA certification is a plus
• Big 4 or Tier 2 audit experience preferred
• Thorough understanding of GAAP
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook required
• Experience with Oracle is a plus

• May require a facility visit to operations in temperatures at or below freezing
• May carry loads related to travel and occasionally lifts, carries, positions, or moves objects weighing up to 20 pounds
