Responsibilities include:


* Ensures all activities are peer-led, individualized, recovery focused, and based on a relationship that supports a person's ability to promote their own individualized recovery.


* Provides support services in Polk County and the Addiction Recovery Support Center.


* Promotes the value of self-help, peer support, and personal empowerment to foster long term recovery.


* Empowers peers to seek or strengthen their recovery on a daily basis.


* Assists in recruiting community partners to enhance the mission of the Addiction Recovery Support Center.


* Works with individuals on engagement and connecting them with appropriate services and resources.


* Transports peers in state vehicle that are in need of government or social services.


* Assists in data entry needed for demographics and monthly reports.


* Constantly seeks ways to build collaborations with community resources.


* Assists in the development and leadership of self help meetings specific to recovery.
