When you join our team as an Family Worker you will:


* Collaborate with the school district staff to ensure that activities for family involvement and social services occur.


* Coordinate participation in health and social services designated by the District to serve the needs of the children and their families.


* Complete a minimum of three (3) visits with each family in each school year.

These are not home visits but can be done at a mutually agreed upon location.


* Not serve as teacher, secretary, substitute, or in any other capacity during the same hours as they are serving as the family worker.

Qualifications



* Minimum high school diploma.

Will be traveling.

Reliable transportation required.


* Outstanding customer service skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and handle multiple situations effectively


* CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain


* Meet state specific qualifications for the role or willingness to obtain


* Physically able to use a computer with basic proficiency, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors


* Able to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children


* Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents in English
