What's the role?

To strengthen the Zeiss Team located at our brand new 'state of the art' manufacturing facility in Dublin, California, we are seeking an experienced and highly skilled X-Ray Source Reliability Expert.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability of our X-Ray Microscope's Source.

Your primary objective will be to improve the overall reliability of the product, minimize errors in manufacturing and assembly processes, reduce production time, and enhance the lifespan of the X-ray source when used in the field.

Candidates with a background in high energy physics applications or RF engineering would be a great fit for this role.

Here's what you'll do:

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:



* Conduct thorough analysis and assessment of the current X-ray source reliability to identify potential areas for improvement.


* Develop and implement strategies to enhance the reliability of the X-ray source, focusing on reducing failures, optimizing performance, and extending its operational lifetime.


* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to identify and rectify any issues related to the X-ray source's reliability.


* Design and execute experiments and tests to evaluate the reliability of the X-ray source under various conditions.


* Analyze data and identify trends or patterns that can help in identifying potential failure modes and implementing preventive measures.


* Establish and maintain clear documentation and records related to X-ray source reliability, including failure analysis reports, test results, and improvement plans.


* Provide technical guidance and support to the manufacturing and assembly teams to ensure proper handling, installation, and maintenance of the X-ray source.


* Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and best practices related to X-ray source technology and reliability engineering.


* Act as a subject matter expert on X-ray source reliability, providing training and knowledge sharing sessions to internal stakeholders as necessary
