Principal Scientist Research & Development Translational Science

Description

• Responsible for adapting and executing various types of product testing.

These may include, desk research, qualitative and quantitative studies, amongst others.

• Make recommendations on consumer centric methodologies that can be applied to various types of projects and incorporated into learning plans.

• Provide consumer research expertise and guidance to support the deployment of product experiences.

• Stay up to date with the latest advancements and trends in the relevant field and industry.

• Identify insights that might be valuable to projects, work with the cross-functional team to turn those insights into actionable items for R&D.

• Recommend test designs and moderate qualitative studies where needed.

Document learnings and share cross-functionally.

• Recommend testings and execute quantitative studies (i.e.

Home use tests), summarize the learnings and analyze the data.

• Internal and external focus to identify best in class methodologies that can be leveraged across various projects.

Define pilots for new methodologies.

• Partner with various stakeholders (i.e.

R&D teams, data scientists, commercial functions) to identify how to leverage consumer and clinical data for claims.

• Expected to build in depth consumer expertise across APAC with focus on Japan, China & India.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field with approximately 6-8 years of industry experience in product development and consumer research is required.

• Relevant experience in translational science, with a proven track record of success.

• Relevant experience in the field of data analytics.

• Being able to connect cross-functionally to determine testing needs for various projects.

These projects can fall under any of our segments (Essential Health, Skin Health and Beauty, Self Care).

• Up to 10% international travel may be needed.

Desired Qualifications

• Previous experience on consumer/market researchers, and/or claim support and substantiation.

FMCG, Health care, or research agencies would be preferred, but open to relevant fields.

• Previous experience on various types of consumer and market research methodologies (i.e.

qualitative, quantitative).

• Previous experience on sensory evaluation methods and data interpretation.
