Piper Sandler is seeking a Fixed Income Analyst to join our team in Minneapolis, MN.

This individual will provide analytic support to the Specialty Municipal Finance Team in the Fixed Income Services (FIS) business line.

Responsibilities


* Maintain and manage the Specialty Municipal Finance Credit teams weekly reports we publish, the weekly recap, market recap, etc.


* Help surveille credits in the secondary by comparing actual year to date performance to underwriting expectations.


* Listen in to investor calls taking detailed notes to relay back to the team.


* Help keep track of and organize all our credit information in centralized location.


* Help with other one-off tasks as requested.


* Support other members of the Specialty Municipal Finance Team

Requirements


* Strong attention to detail


* Strong analytic skills


* Ability to multitask and prioritize in fast moving market environment


* Expert user of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is required


* Understanding of accounting principles


* Qualified candidate must be a self-starter with a strong drive for success


* Knowledge of Bloomberg is a plus


* Willing to work in a team environment in Minneapolis


* Knowledge and understanding of Fixed Income markets a plus


* Bachelor's degree required


* Must have, or willingness to obtain, the SIE, 7, 63, and 52 within the first 90 days
