Maximus is looking for a research manager to lead a congressionally mandated study for assessing nuclear energy capabilities, trade-offs, innovations, and supply chain risks.

The successful candidate will oversee the project's progress, ensuring that all research activities align with legislative requirements and scientific standards.

Responsibilities

The research manager will be responsible for coordinating and general oversight of the research project including the development of research methodologies, oversee data collection and analysis, and ensure the timely delivery of findings to the client.

This position will act as the primary liaison between the project team and the client.

The successful candidate will lead the execution of research projects by drafting proposals, selecting methods, supervising cross-functional teams, managing budgets, and presenting findings.

This includes:

• Developing a project methodology

• Conducting and overseeing literature reviews

• Attending project meetings

• Preparing progress reports

• Preparing questions for data calls and collecting data

• Conducting analysis of data

• Interviewing various subject matter experts (SME)

• Analyze findings and summarizing results

• Maintain quality standards to preserve the integrity of data and findings

• Write reports to summarize findings and the implications of the results

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, preferably with experience in energy research or policy studies, and possess superior communication and organizational skills to effectively liaise with government agencies, industry partners, and academic collaborators.

• Experience responding to congressional queries as well as conducting studies and research.

• Familiarity with Congressionally Directed Actions.
