As a Senior Lead Software Engineer Java Full Stack at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate and Investment Banking Security Services Tech team, you play a crucial role in an agile team that is dedicated to improving, constructing, and delivering top-tier technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner.

Job responsibilities:


* Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems.


* Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others


* Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems


* Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies.


* Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect


* Demonstrated proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.


* Provides Support in automating deployments through production release cycles and provide troubleshooting for L3 support work.


* Interact with front and middle office teams and other business users in providing support/solutions for client queries or productions incidents.


* Analyze production issues and document RCA and issue-corrective actions in line with LOB standards

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:


* Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience


* Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.


* Advanced in one or more programming language(s) - Java/Microservices


* Experience in Rest UI and other JavaScript framework is required.


* Experience in Oracle SQL or other RDMS is required.


* In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems


* Practical cloud native experience

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:


* Expert experience with design, development, deployment, and support of large-scale applications in a mission-critical production environment


* Strong hands on experience in Microservices, RESTful webservices development in Java (Spring Boot or equivalent framework)


* Experience with Message broker platforms (Kafka is a plus)
