Production Technician Associate - 1st Shift

1st Shift, Monday - Thursday, 7:00am - 5:30pm

As the Production Technician Associate, you will assemble trailer components and sub-assemblies, as well as perform quality inspections of components and sub-assemblies.

What you'll do on a typical day:


* Identify and perform repetitive assembly of various trailer component parts using blueprints or work instructions


* Safely utilize various measuring and inspection instruments


* Use various power and hand tools in a safe manner


* Work with a variety of materials, including steel, sheet metal, aluminum, solvents, oils and abrasives


* Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality standards


* Organize parts and equipment to maximize efficiency within department

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you'll need:


* A high degree of technical skills and assembling techniques


* Demonstrated ability to read, understand and follow job orders and work procedures


* Ability to perform work in a manufacturing environment

It'd be great if you also have:


* High school diploma or equivalent work or military experience



* 2 years of experience and proven track record of successful performance in a warehouse environment


* Availability to travel more than 75% of the time


* Good communication skills


* Proven ability to collaborate with and support other team members


* Ability to be engaged and productive while remaining flexible and adaptable to changing conditions and expectations


* Ability to work independently and in a team environment

This job requires the ability to:


* Lift up to 50 lbs.


* Work outside on occasion


* Reach (including above your head)


* Safely walk, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel


* Visually adjust focus, have depth perception and close vision capabilities
