Manager, Capacity Planner

As a Manager of Capacity Planning at RXO, you’ll lead assigned process improvement and engineering applications that obtain millions of dollars in savings across the business unit through a disciplined framework of operational effectiveness and efficiency.

You will also act as a change agent while administering key strategic process improvements throughout RXO Last Mile.

What your day-to-day will look like:


* Operational data collections and updates for zone planning and capacity updates


* Evaluate processes for continual improvement


* Gather, analyze, and validate data


* Execute statistical modeling software and maintain forecast models



* Apply error analysis techniques to improve forecasting


* Data analysis of large and complex data sets which includes up to 100K+ individual records.


* Present, solicit, and assess feedback on the various forecasts from operations, sales, and finance


* Provide input to volume planning


* Facilitate and manage demand planning/customer meetings with top clients



* Cross functional strategy and planning with Client Solutions, IT, and Operations


* Produce, manage, and improve reporting for Hub Capacity and SQFT forecasting in the Last Mile transactional network


* Lead cross functional initiatives to improve Network Hub Capacity utilization


* Monitor and maintain Hub Capacity levels appropriately by seasonal demand


* Support Client Solutions and Client Services teams through routine and ad hoc reporting / tools

What you’ll need to excel:

At a minimum, you’ll need:


* 4 years of related experience in the logistics industry


* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office Applications

It’d be great if you also have:


* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or a related analytical field


* MBA


* 5 years of logistics operations or related experience


* Last Mile or Dedicated transportation experience


* Strong project management and analytical skills with a track record of proactively identifying potential issues and formulating solutions and contingency plans



* Self-motivated work style; able to set priorities and work independently


* Results-driven focus with the ability to analyze, prioritize and act in accordance with ethics and values to achieve desired results


* Experience understanding/determining the financial impacts of decisions and effectively communicating value propositions
